GFL ENVIRONMENTAL offers CAD 15-25 hourly for the Water Treatment Technician position. Waste Water Technician needed in Toronto, ON to service Commercial lines of business for Accuworx Inc. (a GFL Environmental Company). Mobile water treatment systems including coagulation, sand and bag sediment filtration, media filtration, etc. will fall under the Water Treatment Technician’s purview of duties.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Management of on-site water purification equipment.
• Perform bench testing of entering water to evaluate the proper water treatment method Collect
• incoming water samples, recording quantities and receiver information
• Make necessary contributions to keep projects moving forward.
• Integrate yourself into the framework, and show that you can operate productively within a collaborative environment.
• Maintain the highest level of compliance with standards and regulations related to Occupational
• Health and Safety and Environmental legislation in all phases of project activity; this requires a high level of practical flexibility and the ability to consult with the Site Supervisor to promptly implement contingency plans.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• A diploma from an accredited high school or university is required.
• Having worked in the plumbing industry before is a plus.
• Experience in maintenance is a plus.
• Having experience in a construction setting is a plus.
• Work hours are subject to change during the project based on how things are going. Day, night, and other shifts are possible and may be necessary.
• A daily operations log with specific details will be provided. Taking and recording water samples according to standard procedures is required.
• All system components are housed outside and will continue to function regardless of the weather.
• To ensure maximum plant production, the selected candidate will be in charge of operating and maintaining the plant’s machinery and mechanical connections. In addition to these tasks, you may be asked to relocate or replace things like media, bag filters,
