Salary for Warehouse Parts Technician job:

  • CAD 20-30 per hour

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

  • maintains the supply, storage, and distribution of parts and supplies for the region in coordination with the supply chain manager.
  • Together with the supervisor and supply chain management, perform inventory control for the region, including quarterly inventory counts and annual reporting of inventory levels. ordering, following up on, receiving, checking, and distributing supplies as needed.
  • Releases expensed items from a warehouse or a holding area to specific users while ensuring that there is an appropriate supply of each item on hand by carrying out cycle counts.
    creates shipping paperwork for hazardous materials and freight.
  • Keeps correct records of orders and receivables in the Computerized Maintenance Management
  • System (CMMS), including proper coding and authorization verification.
  • Processed invoices for payment entered data for accounts payable into the system, and documented claims for over, short, and damaged shipments.
    assists the maintenance staff in locating and properly discarding out-of-date components and materials.
  • co-ordinates the yearly sealift ordering for the Region in collaboration with the Supply Chain
  • Manager, Procurement Coordinator, and other buying clerks.
  • Coordinates sealift for all towns in the area with the help of the Maintenance Supervisor and the
  • supply chain division, which includes receiving and sorting incoming sealift crates and guiding goods to their final destination.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

  • Parts Technician – Materials Technician accreditation from a provincial body of trades.
  • Class 5 Driving Permit
  • working in an industrial or electrical utility warehouse for three (3) years.
  • IATA certification for air transportation of dangerous goods is beneficial.
  • Certification for WHMIS and the transportation of dangerous goods is advantageous.
  • An asset is previous knowledge of diesel power generation.
  • Knowledge of the territory, people, and culture of Nunavut is advantageous.
