Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the exterior and interior maintenance of Transit’s fleet, facilities, and machinery.
  • Takes care of the city’s buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment by performing routine maintenance duties.
  • Provides routine maintenance for Transit vehicles such as filling gas tanks, rotating tires, and doing minor repairs.
  • Carries out vehicle swaps in accordance with the protocol
  • Microsoft Forms can be used to keep track of any problems or switchovers that occur.
  • Assign shifts using the Transit program and daily track sheets.
  • Drives various vehicles, including buses, tow trucks, power tools, and pickups, to meet operational needs.
  • Assigns parking spots for automobiles and keeps information of their whereabouts.
  • Carries out supplementary tasks in a similar vein.
  • High school and beyond.
  • Completed a specialized mechanical aptitude test with flying colors.
  • A plus would be training or expertise in fleet maintenance.
  • Proficient use of office machinery, such as a computer running Windows and/or Transit technology.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license in the province of Saskatchewan. You have one week from the date of hire to pass the written air brake test and another month to get your air brake endorsement.
