Job Responsibilities and Overview:
- Maintain a pleasant demeanor and give fast, accurate service while actively engaging clients to boost sales.
- Every time a customer comes in, utilize his or her name in the greeting.
- Group cold items together and unload them from clients’ carts onto the conveyor belt so that they can be quickly bagged.
- Before submitting an order, please examine the areas beneath the carts and the infant seats.
- Make sure you’re using the right bags for the job.
- Performs typical procedures for scanning orders and processing payments from clients.
- Follow proper processes while dealing with cash, checks, coupons, gift cards, partner cards, food stamps, and WIC vouchers Avoid engaging in off-topic conversations with other employees in the presence of customers
- Comply with the policies for returns and mistakes.
- Try your best to keep track of your money.
- Observe protocol and use exception handling
- Find the customers that need help, and offer to bring their food out to their car.
- Always be on the lookout for any problems and ask for help when you need it to keep clients happy as per service standards.
- Compare costs in a jiffy and reliably

- Maintain a tidy and clean look and follow the Food Lion dress code at all times by wearing the appropriate uniform and apron when on the clock.
- Using the tether strap, retrieve carts from the parking lot and cart corrals.
- Maintain a clean and orderly appearance in the store’s public spaces and work areas.
- Please notify the MOD or Customer Service Manager if your registration is malfunctioning.
- Check that the KIOSK at the MVP savings center has plenty of paper and is functioning properly.
- If there are front-end maintenance or cleaning difficulties, please let QA know.
- Complete online and computer-based training programs with flying colors.
- Carry out any additional tasks given to you.
Qualification/ About the Applicant
- Those with a secondary school diploma or higher are favored.
- Competence in speaking with and helping customers
- Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashiering and service-center work and a desire to learn new responsibilities on the job.
- There are age limits for doing certain jobs, and you must meet them.
