Records personnel are accountable for a variety of clerical duties within the department’s Records Management System. These duties fall within the purview of the Support Services Branch. Within the Records Department, there are a variety of job classifications, including those for clerks in the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), clerks in the Records Department, court liaison officers, quality assurance analysts, transcription coordinators, and transcriptionists.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • When it comes to carrying out one’s responsibilities, independence, and sound judgment are absolutely necessary. In order to effectively request and give information, you need to have great communication skills, both written and spoken. These abilities are equally important.
  • There is no set schedule for these positions because they are considered to be casual.
  • You will need to be flexible to work various shifts because this business is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, which includes nights, weekends, and official holidays.
  • The individuals who are ultimately chosen will be required to pass a polygraph exam as part of the process to achieve and maintain a higher level of security clearance.
