Salary for Metals Recycling Yard Operator job:

• CAD 20-25 per hour

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for safety, the environment, and routine tasks as outlined by Gerdau for the yard.
• Tasks range from relatively simple to fairly difficult, and all require considerable attention to detail to guarantee proper procedures
• All incoming scrap should be scanned for radioactivity, and any materials that test positive should be quarantined and the proper authorities notified.
• Make that all incoming scrap is inspected for compliance with quality and environmental requirements, and that any necessary deductions or downgrades are made.
• Examine the quality and type of scrap you have. Find the reductions and reductions.
• Make sure everything that leaves your facility is safe and up to par before shipping it out.
• Take care of daily REC (Routine Equipment Maintenance) and record it. Deliver first-rate service to your clients.
• Involvement in regular preventative safety measures.
