Salary for Maintenance Support / Plumber job:

• CAD 15-25 per hour

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures are just a few examples of facility assets/systems that need regular maintenance and repair to keep water, gas, and drainage flowing smoothly throughout the hospital.
• Keep an eye on the various warnings and indicators.
• Conduct routine checks of the plumbing and heating system’s mechanical components as part of a preventative maintenance plan.
• Hang pictures, repair and paint walls, and other typical handyman tasks as needed.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Proof of high school graduation or GED
• Red Seal Certification as a Licensed Plumber
• Clearance from the Vulnerable Sector Police
• Vaccination (including against COVID-19) per the requirements of the Public Health Act and at the request of the client.
• Proven expertise in plumbing and heating systems, acquired over the course of a 5-year apprenticeship.
• Prior job experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred, as is proficiency in both written and oral English.
• Capacity for obeying directions
• availability to work shifts
