Material Operator I wanted at ThyssenKrupp Aerospace NA. You will be responsible for accurately processing material per the requirements of work orders and applying metal to customer orders. You will be responsible for the safe and sanitary upkeep of all processing equipment. Enter data into the system accurately. Job Responsibilities and Overview:

  • Control heavy machinery such as stackers, cranes, and forklifts.
  • The product should be pulled, inspected, and verified before processing.
  • Set up machinery in a safe manner so that material can be processed according to the instructions on the setup note.
  • Documentation of procedure set up in accordance with work order requirements
  • Measure and keep track of samples (sampling plan) to make sure the product you ordered is exactly what you wanted it to be.
  • Discuss modifications or clarifications to orders with the relevant sales rep.
  • Take care of routine maintenance on your equipment.
  • Follow written directions for entering and removing identifying tags on materials.
  • Carry out a broad cleaning
  • Assist with product packaging in accordance with work order specifications and written instructions.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of all given measuring equipment.
  • Balance the scale and take accurate readings for inspection purposes.
  • Find the scrap and the non-conforming materials, then document and separate them.
  • Report the machine’s performance and output quality to the higher-ups.
  • Carry out work-related duties in a way that doesn’t endanger himself or anybody else.
  • When necessary, train others
  • Contribute to quality assurance and waste reduction efforts

Qualification/ About the Applicant

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse setting, ideally within the metals business
  • Competence with forklifts is required.
  • Utilization of Portable Measuring Devices
  • Skilled with computers.
  • High school graduation or equivalent is required.
  • Reading and writing skills Required Lifting and carrying capacity of up to 40 pounds
  • Practice your arithmetic skills
