For almost 30 years, Terus Construction Ltd.’s decentralized business centers have been hard at work constructing roads across British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. Drives a front-end loader to move materials from excavation sites to storage areas. Assists crusher crew with regular tasks such as loading trucks. Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Transfers materials from storage areas to designated areas and vehicles.
• Use caution and common sense when operating any and all large machinery.
• Transport bulky items to and from loading and unloading docks.
• Be a part of the company’s safety program and agree to follow its guidelines.
• Extra responsibilities as needed

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Experience breaking rocks for at least three years (Aggregate Industry) is required.
• The skilled mechanic who is familiar with using jaw and cone crushers and screening machinery.
• Exhibit excellent focus, organization, multitasking skills, and motivation.
• In a physically demanding and fast-paced field setting, you’re able to operate independently while still fostering a happy and safe work environment by working together with team members and other managers.
• Capacity to learn about and remember safety procedures and hazards on the job.
• Maintain machinery by lubricating moving parts, replacing worn belts, cleaning, etc.
• Possess a valid Class 5 driving license and a clean driving record.
• Possess the necessary PPE and steel-toed work shoes, as well as the capacity to lift 50 pounds or more, work in adverse environments, restricted spaces, and at heights.
• Possessing valid First Aid and WHMIS training certificates is a plus.
• Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test before starting work.
