Every year, we ship and distribute billions of things to Canadians. You may play a key role in this process. Temporary, on-call delivery agents (also known as letter carriers) represent Canada Post in their communities, delivering mail and packages to clients and businesses.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• In the morning, you’ll report to the depot to begin the day’s deliveries.
• You will be responsible for loading and driving a Canada Post postal van. You will spend the majority of your day delivering mail and goods to people on your route.
• After delivering the day’s mail and goods, you’ll head back to the depot to unload them.
• At least three years of clean driving history on a Class 5 or Class G license (abstract needed)
• Physical stamina sufficient to routinely handle objects weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) and move mail
• items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
• Being available for on-call duty
• Possessing intermediate to advanced proficiency in English and/or French
