StarPlus Energy is looking for a qualified and experienced Korean-English Interpreter to work at our Kokomo, Indiana, facility that produces batteries for electric vehicles.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Perform back-and-forth translations between Korean and English for a variety of written items.
• Interpret at gatherings like meetings and conferences using either successive or simultaneous methods.
• Maintain the original text’s meaning, style, and tone while translating it accurately.
• Make sure that specialist documents are translated accurately by researching and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific vocabulary.
• Verify the linguistic and grammatical accuracy of translated papers through editing and proofreading.
• Coordinate with other translators and team members to maintain a unified vocabulary and tone for all projects.
• Maintain client communication to define translation needs, answer inquiries, and share project updates.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• An equivalent to a high school diploma
• Bilingual (Korean and English) fluency is required.
• Proven track record as a professional translator; ideally, subject matter competence in many fields.
• Knowledgeable in both the Korean language and the English culture.
• Superb ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in both languages.
• Careful consideration and dedication to generating flawless translations are hallmarks of this service.
• Capability with many forms of translating technology and software.
• Capacity to work under pressure and complete numerous tasks at once.
• Competence in working a whole workday. The first shift is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 a.m.
• Weekend and after-hours shifts are possible.
• The ability to interpret in a production setting is required.
• Full-time work in Kokomo, Indiana, therefore commuting there is a must.
