Housekeeping Aide job in Canada. Looking for a position as a Housekeeping Aide job in Canada? FRASER HEALTH offers CAD 20-25 hourly for the Housekeeping Aide position. The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of housekeeping tasks under the direction and supervision of the Coordinator, Housekeeping Services, or designee, and may be needed to operate domestic washers and/or dryers. A high school diploma or the equivalent in terms of training and work experience is required.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and sanitization in all assigned areas, including patient and resident rooms, ambulatory, clinical, procedure, operating, diagnostic, and emergency areas.
• Daily cleaning and disinfection of patient equipment, restrooms, sinks, desks, chairs, doors, and medication dispensers.
• Paper towels, toilet paper, liquid hand soap, lotion, and alcohol-based hand rub refills are provided.
• Cleaning and disinfecting patient and resident rooms prior to discharge, including making beds.
• Moves and/or transports goods using the necessary tools and machinery.
• Responsible for preparing meetings, conferences, and other rooms in accordance with predetermined routines or upon special request.
• Cleaning and maintaining floors and carpets on a daily basis requires checking for dust, mopping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning using the right tools.
• Performs related duties such as loading and unloading home washing machines, operating machines in accordance with specified protocols, marking and labeling items, and collecting, sorting, and distributing laundry and linens.
• Cleans and replaces pads, bags, and filters on the connected equipment.
• Notifies the Coordinator and/or Manager of any equipment failures or supply shortages.
• Carries out ancillary tasks as required.
