Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Act as a fearless role model in terms of safety and compliance with environmental regulations and policies.
• Drive a haul truck for 12 hours straight, including overnights. Trucks range in towing capacity from 180 to 400 tons.
• Be able to work and function normally in all kinds of weather, from sunshine to heavy rain and snow.
• Carry out a variety of chores, some of which may need you to lift heavy
• Check the tires, fluids, lights, and brakes to make sure everything is in working order.
• Use tools like two-way radios and in-vehicle computers to have conversations with other drivers, dispatch, and higher-ups.
• Handle electrical cables, transport supplies across the pit, inspect or drive equipment, and perform other pit utility jobs.
• A diploma from a high school or an approved alternative
• A full, unrestricted Class 5 license or its international equivalent is required.
• Experience in operating heavy machinery, working in an industrial setting, or using computers is a plus.
