Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Execute planned maintenance chores for systems and components on schedule.
• Maintain and examine equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may have arisen with the equipment and fix them.
• Get the orders in for the replacement parts your broken machinery needs.
• Follow established protocols and work orders.
• Keep a detailed record of your workday to use when changing shifts or teams.
• Maintain a sanitary and orderly office, warehouse, or other workplace.
• Before getting started, it is important to review and create any necessary system manuals and drawings.
• Maintain competence necessary for the completion of tasks.
• Go to the classes when they’re being held.
• Lockout/tagout (LOTO) zones should be set up and reviewed with the operations staff as needed to ensure everyone’s safety.
• Prior to beginning work on a system or component, it is important to perform a complete walkthrough of all relevant LOTO boundaries.
• Keep tabs on the store’s goods and supplies and let management know when more needed.
• Help get new equipment installed or alterations made to the plant.
• Get rid of old machinery and electronics as instructed.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Report any missing or inaccurate equipment identification tags.
• Perform tests and commissioning of new equipment or planned maintenance on existing equipment.
• Protect yourself by donning safety gear that fits the job.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace, and put company tools and testing equipment back in their proper places after use.
• Communicate with your coworkers more effectively by using the phonetic alphabet to name pieces of equipment.
• Make sure you have “three-legged communication” in high-stakes situations.
• Aid businesses and organizations with temporary electricity needs.
• Take on extra tasks as directed by your supervisor.
