Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • Conceiving of and supervising investigation strategies determining the steps to take and the tactics to employ in order to collect data that can be processed into intelligence or used as evidence.
  • Gathering information, intelligence, and evidence entails talking to victims, witnesses, and suspects and getting their stories.
  • Responding to and overseeing crime scenes to preserve and secure evidence, maximize forensic opportunities, and conduct thorough examinations and record keeping in line with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Evaluate the safety of the victims, witnesses, offenders, and the location itself.
  • Risk assessments, safety plans, and ‘trigger’ plans should be prepared to protect the Vulnerable.
  • Find ways to impede criminal activities, then employ those ways with the help of internal and external allies to solve problems.
  • The College of Policing’s Professionalizing Investigations Programme The PIP Level 2 certification is necessary for this position.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills enable the timely completion of tasks.
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system in-depth and attention to detail when doing responsibilities.
  • Superior abilities in both spoken and written expression
  • Those who are familiar with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act of 1996.
  • Experience conducting interviews with suspects, victims, and witnesses, as well as the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
