BROAD ACRES HOUSING ASSOCIATION LIMITED offers GBP 23000 Yearly for the Labourer Empty Homes (Voids) position. In order to help with the upkeep of properties and the delivery of high-quality houses suitable for our new customers, we are searching for a Labourer to join our Empty Houses – Property Services team.

Together with your team, you’ll be responsible for bringing our houses up to a high standard in preparation for our customers and for assisting us in providing outstanding services with a focus on their needs. You will be responsible for landscaping maintenance on properties/estates, as well as other tasks to ensure the security and upkeep of common spaces. Other jobs may include general labor, clearing, cleaning, and semi-skilled maintenance repairs.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Working knowledge of the demands of a similar position
• Having a firm grasp on Health and Safety issues
• A talent for working with customers
• Knowledge of how to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings in order to carry out repairs and upgrades.
• The skill level necessary to perform routine maintenance across a wide range of disciplines
• Possessing the necessary physical abilities to do tasks such as climbing ladders and working at heights
• Literacy and numeracy basics
• Abilities and knowledge in the most fundamental areas of IT
• A valid and spotless driver’s license
• Experience with landscaping/gardening and/or basic carpentry, plumbing, or building is preferred but not required.
