Gift Aid Volunteer job in the UK. Are you looking for a position as a Gift Aid Volunteer job in the UK? BRITISH HEARTH FOUNDATION offers GBP 10-15 hourly for the Gift Aid Volunteer position. Our organization annually invests about £100 million towards studying the root causes of cardiovascular disease. Coronary illnesses. Stroke. Dementia is caused by poor blood circulation. Diabetes. Everything is linked, and it’s all under investigation. We need volunteers who can give us a few hours a week, or even just a few of hours here and again.

Please consider contributing to our Gift Aid campaign so that we can raise vital funding. Someone to volunteer in-store to increase Gift Aid registrations, educate customers on the program, and coach other retail volunteers on how to comply with HMRC requirements would be most appreciated. The shop staff will back you up as you essentially fill the position of volunteer fundraiser and administrator. All charities greatly benefit from Gift Aid since it helps them to recoup the UK tax already paid by their donors. Gift-aided items allow us to recoup an additional 25% from the government for each sale made, at no additional cost to the donor or buyer. Raising more money for potentially life-saving medical research is a top priority, so we’re working to increase Gift Aid registrations and sales.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and unfortunately, we cannot accept anyone with a past criminal record or who is still serving time. This is a non-paid position in a pleasant thrift store.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Helping potential donors learn about Gift Aid and sign up for Gift Aid in-store
• Entering Gift Aid information into our databases and keeping records
• Gift Aid donations are sorted, priced, and displayed.
• Instructing volunteers on proper Gift Aid practises
• Always on the lookout for new ways to increase our store’s Gift Aid contributions
• Donated items receive a 25% discount, while new items receive a 10% discount, in our stores.
