In order to provide quality and cost-effective service to management and satisfy all relevant procedural/legislative obligations, you must apply and implement department policies, procedures, and controls covering all areas of Internal Audit and risk Assurance activity. Prepare for and complete scheduled stock and inventory verification of fixed assets; track out discrepancies, make amends, and report them. Independently investigate all incidents brought to your attention and conduct a thorough assessment of any allegations of fraud in order to compile a comprehensive report for upper management.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Establish the yearly goals and internal audit scope. Acquire relevant accounting materials (e.g., reports, data, flowcharts, etc.) and assess their quality.
• Analyze a company’s operations dispassionately and judge how well its risk management processes are working.
• Make sure that the company is abiding by all applicable regulations and legislation, and offer suggestions for enhancing internal controls and governance.
• Assists in the development of audit findings, recommendations for improvements, and corrective actions, as well as the preparation of audit reports by conducting risk assessments of auditable units, conducting process and procedure examinations, testing internal controls, and analyzing financial records and accounts.
• Analyse current business processes to spot areas for growth and potential threats.

• Prepares a preliminary report on the audit’s findings for review by the audit committee.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Qualifications: BA in Accounting or Business, CPA
• Preferred: Experience as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) for a minimum of five Risk and auditing
• experience gained either in an external audit at a variety of businesses or in-house at a professional auditing firm.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office, Quicken, and other database- and spreadsheet-related software
• Expertise in working with massive datasets and producing in-depth reports.
• Proven familiarity with auditing practices, policies, and regulations
• Superior analytical abilities and meticulousness.
• Judgement that stands on its own
