Job Responsibilities and Overview:

  • Prepare food according to the production plan, checking in frequently to make sure everything is running smoothly and keeping proper records.
  • Labelling and mis-en-place par levels are just two examples of good kitchen management techniques that can help you keep track of your stock and reduce food waste.
  • To maximise kitchen profitability and cut down on food waste, it is essential that all stock be regularly rotated, dated, and controlled.
  • In accordance with company guidelines, you’ll be expected to cook delicious, well-presented meals, call attention to any changes in the receipts so that the Senior Chefs can update the system, and keep the quality of your food consistently at the QDFC standard.
  • Routinely inspect the freshness and cleanliness of the kitchen’s incoming raw supplies, and report any problems to the Sous Chef.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workplace free of any potential sources of contamination.
  • Make sure everything is in its proper spot for each menu item before the shift begins.
  • Immediately address and resolve guest concerns, learn to meet or exceed guest expectations, and relay comments about the dining experience to the head chef.
  • Keep the workspace clean and take good care of any outlet supplies and equipment. Carry out any additional job-related responsibilities assigned by the department head.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

  • Leaving High School
  • HACCP Certification for Professional Cooking or Catering
  • Two years’ experience as a Commis Chef or more is required.
