Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• carries out inspections/surveillances in accordance with instructions.
• Performs inspections, examinations, and tests, and maintains records of results.
• Reports the findings of inspections, examinations, and tests, and determines whether or not they are valid and acceptable.
• Conducts subcontractor job inspections and records findings.
• Monitors and reviews the work of subcontractors. The quality records created by the subcontractors reviewed and audited.
• Ensures that all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations within their purview met.
• Maintains thorough and precise records of inspection findings and conveys those findings effectively.
• Grasps the nuances of the contract, including any subcontractor specifications.
• Carries out any and all additional duties linked with the job.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited program, with the endorsement of the Engineer.
• A minimum of ten years experience supervising civil construction projects is required, five of which must have been spent on projects with equivalent requirements for surface and groundwater networks.
• Deep excavations, structural and water retaining concrete, temporary works, dewatering, paving road works, utilities diversion/interface, and similar construction tasks should all be familiar territory.
• Work, processes, and equipment setup for micro tunneling, as well as micro tunnel site monitoring, given special attention.
• It is required that any Civil Inspector assigned to a post of micro tunnel supervision have at least five years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient at using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Required computer skills include those for word processing, spreadsheets, and statistical analysis programs used to maintain quality records.
