Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• To be well familiar with all of Qatar’s municipal legislation pertaining to hygiene and workplace health and safety.
• You will be in charge of making sure the kitchen and serving areas always have enough fine china, glassware, silverware, and other service ware. It is your job to make sure that the inventory and par levels are always where they should be.
• Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen at all times throughout service, working closely with other members of the kitchen staff to make sure that standards are being met.
• In close coordination with his immediate subordinates and the rest of the kitchen crew, he is responsible for the thorough and total sanitation of all food preparation, food receiving, and food storage areas.
• Glassware, silverware, and serviceware, together with any other relevant equipment, fall under this sphere of responsibility.
• You are in charge of keeping an eye on the night cleaners and any other support concession or contract cleaners on the premises.
• Responsible for the storage, transportation, and other processes relating to proper management of department equipment, and to undertake constant inventory to identify any variance in par stocks.
• The stewarding department reviews and revises all job postings, job descriptions, and performance criteria.
• Maintains proper coverage of all areas of business by approving stewarding schedules.
• The same holds true for ensuring adequate training on the use of chemicals and other items relevant to the department.
• Develops and sustains productive partnerships across the organization to facilitate smooth day-to-day operations.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Complete adherence to HACCP protocols and accreditation.
• Degree in hospitality or at least a high school diploma.
• Competence with computers and knowledge of inventory systems are prerequisites.
• Prior experience in a high-volume kitchen or full-service hotel is essential, preferably between three and five years.
