Visy Glass in Penrose, Auckland is looking to add Bottle Machine Operators to their team. This position is full-time and permanent; it involves working at the Hot End of the factory on a rotating shift schedule of 4 on and 4 off, with overtime pay potential.

Working under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will aid the Forming Service Department in its mission to maintain the reliable production and secure packaging of fine glassware. Among your primary duties will be:

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Responsible for running all I.S. forming machines in the production area.
• Keeping an eye on machinery, checking it over, and tweaking it as needed.
• Help the Job Change Team by preparing the I.S. machines for the production of our next glass packaging order by changing the molds.
• Making sure the glass containers are up to Visy Glass’s standards.
• Keep everything in order and make sure everyone is following the rules when it comes to health and safety.
• The ideal candidate for the position of Machine Operator at the Hot End will have worked with heavy machinery in a factory or manufacturing setting before.
• You’ll have a natural aptitude for mechanics and the stamina to keep up in a hectic, physically taxing setting. You will have a solid work ethic, be able to work well with others, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and put a premium on HSE best practices.
