The Barista is responsible for assisting customers with their orders and completing sales transactions within a Starbucks location, as well as performing other support functions, such as cleaning the food preparation, customer seating, or stock areas, and maintaining inventory; performing all other duties as directed by the company or assigned by management. The Store Manager is usually the one to whom you’ll report in this non-exempt role.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Meets people where they are and helps them out
  accepts orders, explains offerings, and makes a personal connection with customers.
• Maintains Starbucks and business standards when making drinks for customers.
• Handles cash and credit card transactions at a cash register, processes transactions, and makes appropriate changes for customers.
• Always adheres to Applegreen’s cash handling and customer service policies
• Helps clients understand the nuances of coffee brewing and the origins of their beans
• Maintains a tidy and stocked reception area
• Maintains a secure and safe working environment for all Partners at all times by adhering to all business and Starbucks operating policies and procedures
• Store operations are maintained and a good example is established for the shift team when the shift leader remains calm and collected during times of high volume or unusual happenings.

• Prior expertise with cash transactions and client interaction is preferred.
