Job Responsibilities and Overview:

- help regional water programs using your knowledge of surface water quality and/or quantity
- provide suggestions for the safekeeping, preservation, and administration of surface water supplies
- play the role of regional authority on matters of compliance
- analyze how current and future actions may affect water and ecosystem quality
- examine the effects of contaminated sites and landfills, as well as investigate and remedy surface water spills.
- design and conduct field studies to inform the ministry’s water resource management initiatives and serve as a resource for clients.
Qualification/ About the Applicant
- You are well-versed in the theories, concepts, and practices of environmental management, and you know how to put them into effect in the context of surface water management, limnology, and water quality assessment.
- You are proficient in surface water equipment operation and field investigation.
- You have expertise in water resource management and ecology, as well as the relevant hydrological, chemical, and/or biological procedures and techniques.
- The Environmental Protection Act, the Ontario Water Resources Act, and the Environmental Bill of
- Rights are just a few examples of how well you’ve demonstrated your familiarity with and ability to implement relevant policies, processes, and pieces of law pertaining to environmental protection.
