Plumber job in Canada. Looking for a position as a Plumber job in Canada? GREY BRUCE HEALTH SERVICES offers CAD 20-30 hourly for the Plumber position. The Plumber, under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager of Engineering Services, is responsible for completing operations and maintenance tasks across the hospital in accordance with established protocols, legislative codes, and patient comfort standards. Promotes and supports a patient-safety culture; exhibits familiarity with, and application of, patient-safety principles, concepts, and practices in the performance of job duties. Keeping the GBHS workplace safe from violence and harassment by adhering to the GBHS ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve outcomes, Develop others).

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • Certification as a Plumber or Steam Fitter in Ontario High School Diploma or GED
  • Troubleshooting, operating, maintaining, and repairing sophisticated building systems and equipment requires 5 years of recent experience.
  • Coursework in the appropriate electrical and mechanical fields, or training provided by the manufacturer; familiarity with other construction specialties; proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • The capacity and inclination to regularly update one’s technical knowledge
  • Capacity to learn and perform tasks with minimal guidance
  • Capability to handle one’s own computerized maintenance reports and repair orders
  • Proficient at using Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Superior abilities in problem-solving, talking to people, working with teams, and serving customers
    devotes itself to quality assurance and safety measures
  • Capability to work at heights and in confined areas, as well as to conduct physical duties while wearing prescribed PPE.
  • Willingness to work extra hours, be on call and adjust schedules as needed
  • Consistently able to operate from two separate locations
  • Valid Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for occasional hospital-related travel
  • Recent records of success in terms of both performance and attendance
