The Pathology Department at the Royal North Shore Hospital of the New South Wales Department of Health is looking to hire a part-time Pathology Courier Driver. Transport pathology samples between NSWHP labs, collection locations, clinics, and hospitals in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
You can consider this a Tier 1 role. The Occupational Assessment, Screening, and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases section of the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2022_030 is mandatory reading for all Category A applicants. All new hires must confirm that they understand and agree to the terms of this policy. Prior to appointment, all applicants must produce proof that they are free of certain diseases and otherwise comply with the terms of this policy at their own expense.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Courier-specific fitness, including the ability to travel large distances and lift, carry, and transport objects weighing up to 10 kg throughout an entire eight-hour shift.
• Possess the adaptability to work on a 24×7 shift schedule.
• Class C driving license is valid and unrestricted in the state of New South Wales with a clean driving record. (Recent copy of your infraction history from the RTA is necessary.)
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; track record of providing superior service.
• Confidentiality and the ability to keep secrets
• Proven time management expertise; adept at juggling multiple projects without sacrificing quality.
• Proven capacity to operate alone as well as part of a team, and to use teamwork as a foundation for growth.
