Line Cleaner job in Canada. Are you looking for a position as a Line Cleaner job in Canada? GFL ENVIRONMENTAL INC CANADA offers CAD 20-30 hourly for the Line Cleaner position. The Corunna, ON office of GFL Environmental is searching for a Line Cleaner (Industrial Services) to manage the company’s liquids division. This position’s day-to-day duties will involve monitoring our site’s environmental and safety conditions, conducting specialist industrial cleaning, unloading vehicles, operating a forklift, truck, and power washers, and performing administrative tasks as needed.

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

  • In charge of keeping an eye on things or working on a certain project every day.
  • Keep the Industrial Service and Tool Shop in pristine condition.
  • High-pressure water cleaning and washing as needed.
  • Drain and pipe cleaning and inspections as needed.
  • Chemical wastes, both non-hazardous and dangerous, are cleaned up in industrial settings.
  • Help out with the plant’s vacuum trucks and other operations if needed.
  • Entry and rescue from confined spaces, as needed for Industrial Service Projects.
  • Doing one’s job while being confined.
  • Working using a breathing apparatus that supplies fresh air to the user, such as a respirator.
  • Use a scissor lift or a boom lift to reach high places.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

  • Prior experience in an industrial context is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of vacuum trucks, power washing, water blasting, and the liquid waste industry is a plus.
  • Work at heights and confined space entry training are a plus.
  • Knowledge of how to use supplied air systems and respirators is a plus.
  • A ticket for a lift truck, scissor lift, or zoom boom is desirable.
  • Work during daytime, evening, and night shifts, as well as potential weekend and holiday hours.
  • A valid driver’s license of class G is required.
  • Possession of an AZ/DZ license is very desirable.
  • Candidates should have experience operating a pick-up vehicle and trailer.
  • Ability to interact professionally and cordially with customers face to face.
  • Capability to work independently or as part of a team, as well as to handle multiple tasks at once.
