AGROPUR offers CAD 15-25 hourly for the Laboratory Technician position. 85 Blakeney Drive, Truro, Nova Scotia, production facility of Agropur, a major Canadian manufacturer of ice cream and novelties, is looking to hire an experienced Casual Lab Technician.

This position is responsible for filling in for other workers on days off, during vacations, on weekends, and for working extra hours as needed to meet production goals. People need to be available to work any shifts that may be scheduled.

Salary Laboratory Technician job :

• CAD 15-25 per hour

Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Collecting test samples from the manufacturing floor;
• Checking conformance with samples;
• Sample plating medium preparation;
• Putting samples in incubators and checking on them as needed;
• Having completed all necessary paperwork for product testing sampling and result verification;
• Following our documented HACCP plan, which outlines the best standards for production.
  Checking in on products and giving them an evaluation
• Prepare for operation by doing tasks such as a visual examination and swabbing of food-contact surfaces.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Higher education completion or current enrollment in a science- or technology-related major;
• Possessing great hand-eye coordination, the ability to think independently, and the ability to constantly follow specific processes;
• Capacity for productive interaction and teamwork;
• a firm dedication to health and safety policies and practices in the workplace;
• Experience working in a laboratory or with food is a plus.
