Patient lifting and transportation are two examples of non-clinical care that this position will assist the nursing staff with. Team members will be responsible for collecting and delivering specimens, equipment, consumables, and supplies, as well as replacing supplies and consumables in the event of an emergency.  General cleaning, terminal cleaning, and cleaning of exterior spaces may be part of your cleaning responsibilities. Upkeep on a regular (daily, weekly, or monthly) basis.

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

• Exhibits sufficient reading and writing skills in English to carry out assigned tasks at a safe and adequate level
• Proven track record of working as a hospital cleaner or porter
• Prove that you are familiar with and able to address health and safety concerns in the workplace
• Availability to work irregular shifts (round the clock) if necessary.
• Capacity to function autonomously within a group setting
• Proven ability to maintain patients’ privacy and respect when working with them
• Exhibits a disposition that is open and adaptable to new tasks and ways of doing things on the job.
• Prior work experience in a healthcare setting with a comparable focus is preferred.
