Job Responsibilities and Overview:

• Make delicious meals and baked items in accordance with a schedule.
• Construct a daily report that can be used to verify transactions.
• Learn the essentials of food planning.
• Maintain clean and orderly food storage conditions.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Knife safety and proper use in the kitchen

• Assist with and help coordinate the thorough cleaning of kitchen appliances such as refrigerators, freezers, and ovens.

• Communicate with the Manager on a daily basis to plan the day’s menu.
• Keep an eye on the temperature standards for the meal.
• Keep your workspace and storage areas neat and tidy.
• Clean and disinfect steam tables, counters, and other appliances as needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly space by performing routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and warewashing in accordance with established processes and standards.

Qualification/ About the Applicant

• Certification for Serving Food if Required
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend both oral and written directions
• Be able to work swiftly and concisely under pressure
• Assume additional responsibilities in the kitchen as needed. This position may require heavy lifting,
• bending, pushing, tugging, and/or long periods of standing and walking. Personal protective
• equipment (PPE) and/or clothing may be necessary for this position.
