About this position

  • We are looking for a skilled Commissioning Technician to join our Wellington or Palmerston North team and contribute in a variety of ways. We’re looking for someone to join our Projects team, where they’ll focus on helping with High Voltage Substation upgrades and new construction for Transpower and other clients

Job responsibilities and duties:

As a worker, you will have to do and be responsible for the following:

  • Providing assistance with maintenance tasks as needed and doing the necessary quality assurance checks and audits
  • Maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, testing, and programming of substation and electrical assets, all with a strong emphasis on OH&S.
  • Installation management for substations, transformers, and switches
  • Equipment problems are diagnosed and fixed with the help of schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and engineering staff.
  • Managing the full scope of all assigned projects.
